Abdominal MR examination with liver-specific contrast medium

Dear Inquirer! There is no long waiting time in our private clinic, you can book an appointment for a CT scan even today! Don’t wait for your condition to get worse, give us a call now!

What makes it different? The liver-specific contrast agent used “knows everything” that the other contrast agents, but a small part of it is excreted in the bile. This results in part in the presence of small bile ducts where there are functioning liver cells, and the foreign tissue proliferation can be recognized separately, in part, the bile-containing formulas become recognizable.

In practice, this means that it is likely that it will be possible to isolate benign foci of the liver, adenoma and FNH (adenoma requires follow-up, possibly surgery), and liver tumors (liver tumors, biliary tract tumors and metastases). It is also possible to verify the bile content in liquid formulas.

The procedure is the same as for an abdominal MR scan, only approx. After 90-120 minutes, when sufficient contrast material is expected to appear in the bile fluid, a single short additional measurement is required.
